The Davis men hosted UC San Diego at the Port of Sacramento on Saturday, 3/11. Results summary:

Conditions were good for Saturday's races, with a light breeze and mostly flat water.
The varsity 8 got a little jump on the start, before falling a couple of seats down over the first 1000. They began to find their stride over the second 1000, gradually moving out to the lead and extending to a 2.5 second win.
The JV 8 fell back at the start, and stayed several seats back throughout the race. The boats edged back and forth, with neither able to take full control of the race. UCSD held their early lead for a 1.5 second win.
In the varsity 4, the Davis A entry took a commanding lead off the start, and was able to continue inching ahead over the remainder of the course for a 9 second win. UCSD's four was able to defeat the Davis B entry.
The novice 8 and 2nd novice 8 were both comfortable wins for UCSD.
The Davis men now head into finals, then hit spring break. The varsity 8 and JV 8 will race on 3/25-26 at the prestigious Windermere Invitational in Redwood City. <% print_footer(); %>
