Ags end the Fall Season with Gold! at the Head of the Lagoon

UC Davis fielded 2 varsity fours, 2 lightweight fours, a varsity eight, four novice fours and a novice eight. The men received gold in every event except for the varsity eight. Thank You to all who support us and cheered them on! Results will be available once they are posted by the host team. |

UC Davis brought two varsity eights, two novice eights and two varsity fours. The varsity eight, beat only by OCC on the club level, placed 9th out of 33 entries. The Novice Eight placed 5th, also only being beat by one club team. Thank You to all who support us and cheered them on! Results are available here

Head of The Charles Results

Stroked by Luis Reyna, with Greg Nipper, Michael Golich and Eric Schmidt, the UC Davis Collegiate Men's Four finished a very respectable 6th place out of 39 competitors. Their superb performance has guaranteed the men's team an automatic bid to next years regatta. Thank You to all who support us and cheered them on! Results are available here

HEAD OF THE PORT RESULTS

Results from this weekend's racing are up. They are available here and on our schedule page. The Varsity rolled out two eights, three fours, and a pair which all had good showings. The Novice squad fielded 3 eights, experiencing their first head race of the fall season! |

About UC Davis Men's Rowing
UC Davis Men's Crew is a member of the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association (WIRA) and competes both regionally and nationally. The team has distinguished itself as a perennial powerhouse in the WIRA conference, with numerous WIRA medals in all the major boat categories. Additionally, the team has grown more of a national presence, with appearances at Head of the Charles in Boston, IRA national championships in New Jersey, ECACs and ACRA club national championships in Oklahoma.
The men's crew is a club (non-funded) sport, and the majority of the oarsmen are walk-on, with no prior rowing experience before joining the team. The team operates via a combination of limited support from the university, alumni and parent donations, and athlete dues/fundraising. Athletes pay dues on a quarterly basis, plus fundraiser's throughout the year. A council consisting of team-elected athletes runs the team, making decisions ranging from hiring coaches to hammering out the annual budget. |
